Team Records Fall + New National Cuts Made!
After the morning day 2, of the Senior State meet, 4 team records have fallen and 2 new national cuts of been achieved.
Thursday:
Kali Schneider started things off with a bang as she dropped 40 seconds
in her 1650 free, for a 9th place finish in the 15-16 division.
The 800 free relays did an awesome job as almost everyone swam
lifetime best times in their 200 freestyles splits. The Senior relay
of Bridgette Alexander, Chelsea Calhoon, Stacey Kincade and Jennah
Haney swam to a 7th place finish. The 13-14 year old girls placed 13th.
Friday:
The morning started off well as the 13-14 girls 200 medley relay, of
Chelsea Calhoon, Callie Hebert, Bridgette Alexander, and Hannah Johnson
broke the team record and finished 8th with a 1:54.72.
The 100 breast was a strong event for us as 2 team records fell here.
Emily McClellan won the Senior Women's 100 breast in a 1:02.41 (new team record) and DJ Dvorak set new Senior Men's record
with a 58.65 (4th place). Jennah Haney placed 5th in the senior 100
breast (1:05.92), Bridgette Alexander placed 6th in the 13-14 100
breast (1:08.84), and Spencer Mattox placed 9th with a 1:01.27.
Jennah Haney and DJ Dvorak each placed 5th in the Senior 200 free
(1:53.33 and 1:43.09), while Chelsea Calhoon and Bridgette Alexander
were 10th and 11th, for the 13-14 yr old girls (1:58.53 and 1:58.81).
Jeff Maxwell also placed in the Senior event with a 16th place
(1:46.49).
Emily McClellan achieved a new national cut, in the 100 fly, as she swam a 57.62, for a 3rd place finish.
The 400 IM was a very good event for the team as Jennah Haney finished 2nd with a new team record time
of 4:23.08. Emily McClellan finished 6th (4:32.76) with a new national
cut, too. On the boys side, Jeff Maxwell placed 5th with a 4:14.30 and
Spencer Mattox was 14th in the 15-16 yr old boys, with a 4:23.99.
